Aries Jackie Chan

The Chinese cultural icon is currently starring in the new action movie Forbidden Kingdom along with martial arts actor Jet Li.
Forbidden Kingdom is apparently the most expensive Chinese martial arts movie ever made, with a budget of $30 millions.
ARIES JACKIE CHAN
Jackie Chan made his first appearance in a film at the age of 8. His career took off in the early seventies and he has played roles in over 100 films.
MINI-BIOGRAPHY
Jackie Chan was only 6 years old when his parents decided to move to Australia. His parents thought it was better for their son to pursue a Chinese education, and so left him in China. A Venus-Saturn opposition in his natal chart reveals he may have suffered feelings of loneliness and emotional separation throughout his life, perhaps in this case through the physical separation from his parents... During this time, Jackie was sent to the Chinese Drama Academy, a Peking Opera School. It is in this school that he was taught martial arts, singing, drama and dance. The life conditions there were tough and hard: Discipline, submission and obedience were the golden rules. Chan trained rigorously for the next decade. In 1971, Jackie Chan passed his diploma and then joined his parents in Australia. He then cumulated castings to make money, got noticed, and success followed quickly.
HIS NATAL CHART
With an Aries Sun – born on April 7th 1954 in Hong Kong, China, birth time unknown – Chan fits the job description of an action hero and a stuntman quite well. His chart shows he is indeed dynamic, assertive, very enthusiastic, impulsive, restless and a risk-taker.
Aries Sun square Uranus shows he is spontaneous, restless, impulsive, craving excitement, freedom and adventure. With the North Node opposite Uranus, Jackie Chan seeks constant change, freedom and excitement. Saturn conjunct to his Pluto-North Node midpoint also points out to violent incidents in his life. We know for a fact Jackie Chan has been injured on numerous occasions during filming usually from performing his own stunts.
With the ruler of his sign, Mars, the planet of action, drive and energy par excellence - in fiery Sagittarius, the sign of expansion of one’s horizons, Chan likes to take risks and stretch his limits to see how far he can go. It is no wonder he has accumulated multiple talents such as action choreographer, stunt performer, screenwriter, film director and producer. Mars in this particular sign also gives him enthusiasm for life and a confident, fun-loving side and optimistic outlook.
Aries Jackie Chan interviewed by CNN on 14/04/2008 - ‘Never give up, One day you will succeed’:
Mars is also contra-parallel to Jupiter, Uranus and Pluto in the declinations adding extra strength, tenacity and determination to his character. And so does the Pluto-Mars trine in Fire signs and Pluto contra-parallel to Mars. Pluto opposite his Sun-Mars midpoint suggests he can be quite ruthless or capable of making great efforts in order to achieve a lot. The Cardinal T-square helps him get things moving, while the Mutable T-Square gives him adaptability and plasticity, which you need as an actor.
With Jupiter, planet of expansion, conjunct to his Sun-Pluto midpoint and Jupiter sextile and parallel to Pluto, success came rapidly.
Acting and screenwriting are good outlets for his imagination (Mercury in Pisces, Jupiter trine Neptune), and for his insatiable curiosity and restless mind (Jupiter in Gemini). Jupiter semi-sextile Uranus and parallel to Uranus is an indication of success in the film industry.
Venus in Taurus and Mars opposite the Venus-Pluto midpoint indicates he has a very sensual nature. Mercury trine Uranus means he is independent, suited to a fast-paced atmosphere/environment. A Gemini Moon suggests he needs plenty of mental/intellectual stimulation. On top of having a Sun sextile Jupiter aspect, I wouldn’t be surprised if his Moon (birth time unknown) is also conjunct to Jupiter, which would explain why he seems so happy and has had so much luck. Many actors or celebrities have a Moon-Jupiter or Sun-Jupiter conjunction or positive aspects (sextile, trine).
THE FUTURE
His Solar Return falls on a New Moon in enterprising and adventurous Aries and forms a dynamic T-square involving Mars in Cancer, Mercury in Aries, and Jupiter in Capricorn. This should be another busy year with new projects for him.
With progressed Mars in Capricorn conjunct to the transiting Pluto-North Node conjunction as well as transiting Pluto conjunct to his natal Mars, it would be wise to avoid any risks if possible. Not to mention that transiting Uranus is currently on his natal Mercury in Pisces, squaring onto his natal Mars and Jupiter, and therefore reactivating the Mutable T-square...
