Eliot Spitzer, nicknamed The Sheriff of New York, famous for rooting out bad guys has recently announced his resignation as Governor of New York, effective on Monday 17th March.

He has had to face up to public shame and humiliation and apologize publicly for what he called his personal failings, i.e. involvement with prostitutes over several years.

GEMINI ELIOT SPITZER

Eliot Spitzer has a heavily afflicted Neptune in Scorpio. People of his generation are known to have brought a sexual revolution into place. His natal Neptune in Scorpio square his natal Moon-Mars-Venus conjunction/stellium in the very first decan of Leo hinting at sexual debauchery. His natal Uranus is conjunct to natal Moon-Mars-Venus in Leo, an indication of his sexual eccentric taste for a certain type of women (Uranus-Moon-Mars-Venus in Leo), in his case for prostitutes. He also has a weak Jupiter which has a very Plutonic undertone: Jupiter in Scorpio square Pluto in Virgo, denoting secret and sexual intrigues.

CURRENT TRANSITS AND PROGRESSIONS

It seems that a square of Uranus, planet of sudden shocks and surprises to his natal Gemini Sun was a triggering factor in the shocking revelations and truths about the true facet of his character. With transiting Saturn currently on his natal Pluto in his 12th house opposite transiting Venus in the 7th, he has now got to face up to the harsh and painful realities of his own actions.

The recent February Aquarius Solar Eclipse of February 7th also has had a tremendous impact in bringing in this news into light, as it opposed his natal Uranus, planet of shocks and surprises in Leo.

The current Mars/Pluto opposition also activates his natal Saturn/Mercury opposition as it falls right on his 4th (family) and 10th houses axis (career and status in the world), destabilizing his personal life and signifying the loss of status.

His Progressed Sun also conjunct his natal Mars squaring natal Neptune, the planet of scandal: A Mars/Neptune square conveys the idea of deceitful actions from his part, and it also indicates he may find himself unpleasantly confronted by the consequences of his past actions. His Progressed Uranus also square his natal Jupiter in Scorpio, bringing in the unexpected into the picture.

His wife Silda is also currently facing a transit of Saturn to her natal Pluto suggesting having to face harsh realities, while Uranus, the destabilizing planet also square her natal Sun-Saturn in Sagittarius. This signifies a very disturbing and destabilizing time for her, and I can imagine for their 3 daughters.

The future between him and his wife looks bleak, very bleak indeed...
